County Cup preview: Lyne F.C  V  LM United

LM United play their football in the Premier Division of the Kingston and District League. LM United’s results in the League thus far have been less than great losing all five of their League encounters to date.

On the other side of the coin though, LM seem to up their game when it comes to cup competitions and have won both their County Cup (only one victory as got a bye in the first round)and League cup ties.

So a roundup of LM’S Stats for the last eight games are as follows: Played 8, Won 3, Lost 5, Drawn 0, GF 17, GA 33.

I would say that LM’S best result to date was against Petersham Pumas who are a pretty decent outfit by all accounts and LM gained a 4-3 victory over them recently.

Lyne F.C however completed their 14th victory on the bounce with an emphatic 4-1 win over shalford. In the Shalford match last week Lyne F.C played some of their best stuff this season, so much so our very own Brazilian Captain Felipe tagged it as sexy football!!

Lyne continue to improve week after week, constantly reducing those small mistakes and as a squad they are very much together.

This week’s encounter in the County Cup against LM United is yet another crucial match on the Lyne F.C Journey to the finals!

Please come along and support the men’s section as I think you will be surprised on the quality of football the lads play!

Saturday 21st November, 2pm K.O @ THE Meadhurst Club, Sunbury.

Hope to see you there!
