Lyne F.C. In Ground-Breaking Transfer Deal.
Lyne Football Club is pleased to announce that an agreement has been made with Jubilee High School for the use of their grounds from the start of the 2016/17 football season.
Lyne F.C, last season winners of the Surrey FA County Cup, have been in search of facilities for some years now that could accommodate the club but, with limited pitch availability, growing membership and heavy demand in the Borough, it was becoming increasingly difficult to find somewhere suitable.
The new agreement will see both parties benefitting from investment in the pitches over the Summer to significantly improve the quality of the playing surfaces. Lyne F.C will be bringing professional groundsmen to re-seed and fertilise the pitches as well investing in machinery to keep the pitches in the highest order all year round.
Lyne F.C will also benefit from the floodlit winter training facilities which have recently been renewed and upgraded by the school as part of it’s drive to have the best possible sports facilities in the area.
Jubilee High’s Physical Education Department are looking forward to growing their already successful football development and Lyne F.C are very proud to be involved with that.
Nigel Edgecombe, Chairman of Lyne F.C, said:
“These are very exciting times for Lyne F.C. and we’re grateful to Jubilee High School for giving us this opportunity to build a lasting relationship that gives the club scope to accommodate our ever-growing membership and most importantly give our players a top-quality environment to progress in football. It’s a perfect fit as together we will be investing to continually improve and develop the facility to make it an excellent show-piece sports ground which will also benefit the students, many of which are members of the club.”
**All five pitches (5v5,7v7, 9v9, intermediate 11v11 and full size 11v11) have now been professionally prepared, seeded and fertilised, first cuts on pitches will commence this week**
