First of all we hope that you have all had the opportunity to look at the newly designed Lyne FC website. A massive thank you to Scott for all of his hard work in updating the site and for his patience in meeting all of the feedback from the committee. Please don’t let Scott’s hard work go to waste and check the social networking sites.
Those of you who have looked at the new page will note that there have been some changes at committee level. Richard Johnson has taken the decision to step down as Lyne FC Chairman due career commitments. I am sure that you will join the committee in thanking Richard for all his hard work over the years and wish him the very best in his chosen field.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Mike Kusneraitis into his new role as club Chairman. Mike is a Runnymede Borough Councillor and represents Englefield Green and sits on both planning and leisure committees. He is one of the RBC members elected to the counties youth committee. Mike’s son Toby plays in goal for the under 14’s elite reserves. Mike commented “ I am absolutely delighted to have been given this opportunity and hope to be able to use my experience in working with the local community to benefit the club.”
Kevin Young and John Binstead takes up the joint role of Vice Chairman.
Kevin spent five years at a previous junior football club and served on the committee as Facilities Manager helping the committee obtain and run the facility. He was also assistant manager for what is now the under 14’s team. His son Connor plays up front for the under 14’s and was instrumental in the bringing of his dad, Kevin (plus Mike, Toby and others) to the club. Kevin said “When Connor told me he wanted to leave our last club and join Ian Barrado’s team at Lyne I was initially a little surprised. But a season on, I have to say the vibe in the club is so positive. The club is run for the players which is important never to lose sight of.”
John Binstead,
John’s son Shane has played for Lyne for five years since the team was formed and is now plays in the under 14`s. John is Managing Director of Frontier Forwarding Services and a Director at ASM (UK) and provides sponsorship for Shanes team.
John commented “he has always been impressed how friendly and caring everyone at Lyne FC is, it feels like we are all one big family.”
Mike, Kevin and John are all contactable via the website.
