Preview of Lyne F.C V Shalford
Shalford F.C have gone through many changes since last season, the main ones being they got relegated from the Surrey Intermediate (Western) Division and they have appointed a new manager for this season.
From what we understand, Shalford have been very busy in the last few weeks signing some very useful players and seem to be improving their results.
Shalfords results to date:
Shalford 4-0 Guildford Park (Pre-Season)
Shalford 0-3 Guildford Rangers
Manorcroft 5-4 Shalford
Chertsey Old Salesians 4-3 Shalford
As you can see in the last two League games Shalford is very capable going forward and from what the results suggest they can be somewhat vulnerable defensively.
As we all know with a few changes, defences can be improved if that is the case Lyne will be up for a very competitive and challenging match this weekend.
Lyne F.C however is on a nine unbeaten run and will be looking to go into double figures this weekend. Lyne have virtually a full squad available for selection this weekend, and this weekend is the first time this season where we are not able to accommodate all players fit and available.
To be fair this is a great problem to have in one hand and a difficult one in the other given we have a very talented squad with no particular weaknesses.
Injuries wise we only have one on the injury list and great credit must go to Richard our physio for looking after the needs of the players and making sure they are ready for match days.
Lyne come off of the back of a 2-0 victory and fantastic performance last week. Against a very good Manorcroft side who will be there and there abouts at the end of the season.
The venue for this week’s clash against Shalford is Egham Leisure centre, K.O 2pm 10th October.
We look forward to seeing you there.
